I did it! And so can you!

I am currently pursuing professional photographer certification from the PPCC/PPA. Being self-taught, I felt like I wanted to do more than just join the PPA for $323, I wanted to earn the proverbial "seal of approval" from them. I am halfway through the process of earning this designation. I recently got the notice in the mail that I passed my first try at the CPP exam! The last time I filled out a ScanTron was over a decade ago, while I was applying to grad school and sat for the GRE. (I swear there is evil pixie dust sprinkled on every ScanTron form). I blasted the Poconos radio station that was playing Alice in Chains that morning as I drove from my hotel to the exam site. Many thanks to the Northeast-Pennsylvania-Professional-Photographers-Association for graciously hosting the exam at their conference. Here is the ridiculous amount of flash cards I used.....

How many pencils does one really need to complete a 100-question exam?
Post-exam celebration.....

I highly recommend pursuing certification, even though it isn't easy! If you are interested in earning CPP designation, there is a ton of great information out there to help along in the exam prep process. I found the Certify with Sandy forum instrumental. The exam is broken down  as follows (according to the CPP website). Good luck!!!

The next step for me is the image portfolio submission, and that's a whole other journey...........
